As Suerdem and Akkilic (2021) quite correctly assert, media framing differs from cultural context to cultural context. What is more, how media outlets portray AI is dependent on a number of variables such as readership, ratings, and editorial agendas. Further, how the public perceive media framings of AI will hinge on their conceptualisations of AI based on the contexts they operate in.
